Kennecot - Bingham

Kennecot Turquoise is a bi-product of the Kennecot Copper Mine in Utah. This turquoise mine didn't produce much highgrade turquoise. Most of what we have, and have cut is pretty soft and a light blue/green color.

It is funny, you would think Utah would have a lot of turquoise as it has many other wonderful minerals, most seem to be surface deposits though, maybe this is due to the political/religious situation in the state. I hope more surfaces in my lifetime.

This is some of the world's best Varascite. Alot of this material comes from Fairfield, Utah. The old Fairfield material is extremely valuable on todays market. The gem experts are look to Variscite to be one of the next big gems in the industry, and it should be! Absolutely gorgeous stuff!

Little Green Monster Mine

This is what is commonly know as Fairfield Varascite. This mine was open in the 50s and is said to be closed and no longer contain Varascite.

Snowville

Absolutely stunning Varascite. This material looks closer to Nevada Varascite then it does to Utah Varascite. Rumor has it that this claim is on an old rancher's land.
